A Resume Analogy You Need to Hear!

✍️Writing a resume without looking at a job posting is like planning a vacation without knowing if you are going to a beach or a ski resort. ❌

👒Of course there are items that will be needed for both, like your toothbrush and underwear, but do you pack gloves and boots or a bathing suit and sun hat?

📄Use that same thought process when writing your resume. You are the same person, with vast experience, but the parts that you include on your resume will vary, depending on the job you are applying for. (Think targeting the resume to the job you are applying for)

🤔Should you highlight your leadership skills for a Director position, or your writing skills for a Curriculum writing position? Is it a Project Manager position or a Data Analyst role? You most likely have expertise in ALL these areas, but it is not up to the Recruiter to figure it out.

🏖️After all, no matter how wonderful they are, there’s no need to have gloves and boots on the beach.
