How Should I Answer What Is Your Greatest Strength

How Should I Answer What Is Your Greatest Strength

❓Did you know that your answer to the "What is your greatest strength" interview question NEEDS to change depending on whose chair you are sitting in?

🤷‍♀Just like everything else in your career search, there isn't a cookie-cutter answer.

🛄Let's unpack this.

✅Yes, you are the same person.
✅Yes, your experience is the same.

BUT... We have all done so much in our careers, that we can talk about multiple strengths, lots of tasks we are good at, and a plethora of accomplishments.

🔑The key to answering the greatest strength interview questions involves 2 things:

1️⃣Knowing the job posting, researching the company, understanding the requirements of the job, and talking about a strength that you have that is ESSENTIAL to this EXACT position.

▶️Watch this video for cool examples to make sure you understand that describing the wrong strength could prevent you from getting the job

2️⃣Your ability to tell the story (think STAR METHOD) to describe your greatest strength in a way that shows the recruiter and hiring manager that you have the skills needed for this job.

🙅‍♀Never provide a one-word answer to any question during an interview.

This video is super clear and visual in explaining why you may be good at something, but that should still not be the strength you talk about during an interview and why you need to change your answer to this question when interviewing for different roles at multiple companies.
