Make Your Resume STAND OUT
š§³ Letās say you are planning a trip for a diverse group of peopleā¦
Different ages
Different interests
Different personalities
šļøThe location has EVERYTHING. Weāre talking museums, hiking trails, water parks, wineries, art galleries, zoos, restaurants, beaches, golf courses, sports arenas, theatre - you get the picture.
šYouāre super excited about the location and know that it would be the perfect fit. (Think about your vast experience and know that you would be the perfect person for the job.)
šButā¦ would you tell EVERYONE about every part of the venue when trying to get their ābuy inā? Of course not!
ā You would strategically tell each person about the part of the trip that was most meaningful to them (your relevant experience).
ā You would be specific in talking about the details (how many walking trails and the difficulty level, how many slides and roller coasters at the water park).
ā Because you KNOW that if you donāt highlight the āWHATāS IN IT FOR MEā factor, you wonāt get enthusiastic support.
šSo when you write bullet points on your resume, remember that you have tremendous experience, and itās just as important here, as when planning a trip, to provide the āwhatās in it for meā aspect, and highlight the parts of your experience that are MEANINGFUL to the exact job you are applying for.
šAnd if that sounds easier said than done, I can help.
āThe improvement in my resumes throughout our collaboration was remarkable. Cindy offered a positive perspective, encouragement, and support to maintain forward momentum. She is knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and helped me achieve tangible results. I only wish I had found Cindy sooner. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone willing to put in the effortāyou will be thrilled with the outcomes.ā - Amy D š
