There is Only One Answer To This

I bumped into an acquaintance last week and congratulated them in person on a MAJOR career accomplishment. 🤝

📷Saw the Photos... 📖Read the Article...
"CONGRATULATIONS!!!" 🥳
Their response will shock you...
"I didn't do very much." 🥺

✅ When someone congratulates or compliments you, the only correct response should be, "Thank You."

👉 Because an answer of... I didn't do very much, displays the following:
➡️ Lack of self-esteem
➡️ Lack of confidence
➡️ Lack of pride in yourself and your accomplishments
AND...
➡️ It takes away the VALUE of the other person's words and sentiments and denies them the pleasure of appreciating you.

🙌 When someone offers you a compliment or congratulations, whether it's on a promotion, or your outfit (you know the conversation... that's a beautiful blouse ... oh, this old thing, I've had it for years😉)

✅Accept it with grace, appreciation, and a smile.
✅All you need to say is Thank You.
