Highlight Your Strengths With CONFIDENCE
đI remember a childhood story, where an animal main character could not appreciate and recognize their uniqueness and wanted to be like all of their friends. They wished they had stripes, and dots, and feathers, and fins, and sales, and fur.
đ€Isnât it interesting (and unfortunate) how many people feel the same way?
âEveryone has talents that are uniquely theirs. The problem is that we tend to downplay our own strengths, and elevate everyone elseâs.
đConcentrate on your unique selling points (the stuff you are totally awesome at), instead of focusing on where you are lacking. I promise you, other people are looking at YOUR strengths, that you take for granted, and wishing they could be as good in that area as YOU.
đWhen looking for a job, look for the intersection between things that you are really good at, and things that you enjoy doing.
âI canât say enough about the confidence Cindy helped me build in my transition out of teaching. She supported me when I was down and showed me that my skills are so applicable in so many different places. My new coworkers are still talking about my cover letter nearly a week into my new position, and Cindy really helped draw that writing ability out of me. It can take time to find something, but every meeting with her kept me encouraged and moving forward. â€ïžâ
